Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her acting career in supporting roles in the teen comedy films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt the actress played Willa McPherson, a reporter. She also played the role of a supporting character on the short-lived television show The Ex List. In the first season, she was in the role of Moira O'Hara, a young Moira and in the following season, she played Kaylee. She played Jessie Anderson on AMC's The Walking Dead as well as Sophie on The NBC show This Is Us. She voices various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since the year 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. They went through a few different places for one year before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge started to become interested in singing, acting and photography at the age of 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother when she was just 15 years old to pursue a career in acting.
